Condition and Size Guide

Condition

Each club is graded according to the table below. Each listing contains details as to the club's condition grade, along with any comments on specific features for you to be aware of eg: split grips, loose ferrules, shaft rust etc. that's not otherwise discernible in the photos in the listing. Listings contain photos of the actual item for sale. We do not use stock images.

Condition Grading	Description
Brand New	Still in plastic. Never been hit.
Excellent	No visible wear. Like new, but not in plastic covering.
Great	Very light cosmetic wear.
Good	Light normal wear, with no effect on performance.
Fair	Some cosmetic wear, with no effect on performance.
Poor	Moderate to heavy cosmetic wear.

 

Size

We measure clubs by placing them in the playing position with the centre of the sole touching the ground. The length runs from the ground at the heel of the club up to the lower edge of the grip cap, as follows:

All clubs (except iron sets):

For all clubs (except iron sets), we list the length of the club (in inches) in the product listing so that you can compare the length to the particular manufacturer's 'standard'.

Iron sets:

For iron sets (including wedges that come with an iron set), we use the following measurements as our 'standard', given all manufacturers do not work to the same set 'standard'. An iron set will be sized according to its deviation from the table below eg. +1/2 is half an inch longer than the measurements below and -1 is one inch shorter:
